Help fill pantries, feed families and end hunger

Your gift will help Foodbank NSW & ACT send essential food to a Community Partner pantry and feed hungry families.

Maria, who runs a Foodbank Community Partner pantry for the Newcastle region, says recent fuel costs are the biggest new driver of hunger.

“Every day we’re meeting people who are skipping meals just to afford the fuel they need to get to work,” she says.

The fuel crisis isn’t something happening to someone else for Maria’s community. It’s on every kitchen table.

It’s shaping what people eat, how they live, and whether they can get by.

“We’re now supporting at least 20 new pantry users every day,” Maria said.

It’s the same heartbreaking story right across NSW and the ACT – more and more families turning up at our pantries, just to put food on the table.

Foodbank NSW & ACT team members everywhere are seeing a clear and growing number of people accessing food services for the first time.

They include full-time workers, single parents, retired people, pensioners, and young families.
